I am not the only person I know that has these, and everyone I know likes the ones they have. We ourselves have had only one problem with the encasements.

They seem to do their job, and they're relatively easy to install, for what they are. You will need two people, and it can be a little cumbersome to put them on-- but we didn't have to tug or anything, they came on fairly easily between the two of us. I've heard of these ripping on installation, but we didn't have that problem. Just be careful, and I would think it fairly easy to avoid.

We don't lay on them directly, but the encasements are made of a breathable cloth, and don't change the comfort of the bed.

I put it at four stars because of one problem that is both somewhat obvious and also not inherent of the product itself.
