I am a procrastinator.

I am now and always have been. You will benefit slightly since I have been sleeping on this topper for almost nine months and I, naturally, procrastinated in writing this review.

So it should come as no surprise that I waited much too long to change my old-as-dirt, lumpy, taco-shaped torture chamber masquerading as a mattress. I knew that I did not want to purchase a mattress that included springs in any form so my choices were rather limited. After many, many hours of research and reading any and every review I could find, I finally decided on a generic memory foam mattress from the big box store that was available on their website. In an effort to provide full disclosure I will say the memory foam was my second choice behind a 100% organic latex mattress but spending thousands on a mattress is something I wasn't willing to do at the time so I had to settle for second best. Our six year old pillow top mattress prematurely sagged in the middle, so we flipped it over (to the hard side) and bought this natural latex topper since it's sustainable and received strong reviews. I was waking up with a back ache every morning, and from the first night with this new topper, woke up back-ache free and haven't had one again since (it's about a month now). it is retaining it's shape and provides the right amount of cushion for my wife and me. It is expensive - but not compared to a new mattress or a tempurpedic. Also, it is not hot; it doesn't trap body heat.

Grew out of vacuum pack and turned lousy old mattress into comfortable bed. I love it (sciatica); my wife likes it (spine surgery) and the dog won't sleep anywhere else.
