After reading reviews of other toppers I was worried it wouldn't be wide enough for our king size mattress. It covers it edge to edge and may be only an inch short on the length, I'm happy with that. Topper arrived earlier than promised in good shape. It puffed up to it's full 4 inches in no time. We aired it in the basement on day one and the back porch in the sun on day two. Chemical smell seemed to be gone until we put it in the bedroom. It's been a week and we can still smell it. Not enough to keep us awake but we just don't like the odor, my husband thinks it smells like cigarettes. I just smell chemical odor. We bought it to cover a hard mattress and it certianly is more cushy but still feels firm. We can't say we have uninterupped sleep but you don't feel your partners movement as much. I suffer from CFIDS/FM and placed this on a waterbed with damaged baffles, (once waveless, one ambitious carpenter and a remodel later, now tsunami style). It's just great, cushioning without excessive pressure. I rest without having to turn quite so often. I worried that the thickness of the pad might allow me to get chilly since I wouldn't be right on the heated water mattress bladder. But it hasn't, I'm staying comfortable temperature wise. Also that tsunami effect is much less, an added benefit.
