It is heavy and arrived wrapped in plastic, taped, and packaged in cardboard. I'm glad I got free shipping. I've used 4" 4 lb density foam mattress toppers before and this one is definitely firmer, but still comfortable. I read that this is the density used in expensive tempurpedic mattresses. Since my husband and I are both heavy, I thought this would be our best choice. We ordered CalKing size and the foam is actually a little too big so now I think I will have to figure out how to trim it. Anyone have an electric carving knife? It's better than our last one which was a little too small.
